Contrary dreams are an inversion of what we find in normal life, it is not uncommon to find oneself larger than another person if one is smaller in stature, commanding other people’s attention if one is introverted, able to fly or walk through walls free from impediment if one is wheelchair bound.
Dreams are often very different in one way or another from the people’s waking life. A dream may feel different or opposite from the interruptions of the waking life, residing in two different worlds, but it’s still the same person inhabiting both worlds. The contrary dreams may not always be positive, but this doesn’t mean that everything in life is dark.
A person struggling with finances may dream about being rich and living in a mansion. A sad person may dream about being happy eating ice cream at a beach resort. These contrary dreams to the dreamer’s reality provide a feedback loop into what they should aim for to regain a balance in life, to hopefully snap themselves out of an extreme spiral in the waking hours.
