Temptation in dreams represents the phenomenon of distraction. For example, when faced with unattainable desire, people are more likely to notice the good in what they don’t deserve instead of focusing on the moderation. If someone wants something but really shouldn’t have it because they lack the self-control and time management skills to achieve it, they may still seem attracted towards its look or shape rather than its benefits and responsibilities despite knowing this fact on an intellectual level.
In a dream full of temptations, everything is possible and many people might find themselves doing all sorts of things they normally wouldn’t do, some even venture into dangerous activities, like stealing cars, or doing drugs with strangers in secret places.
Some people learned to deal with dreams of temptation in the waking hours. Anticipatory guilt is an emotion that is similar to anticipatory regret, but less severe. It’s when you know that a bad decision will result in an impaired future life, period which should spur some caution in self-renewal.
